Charleston Scavenger Hunt

Charleston's 2010 
City Wide Scavenger Hunt for a Cause 
Benefiting MUSC's Hollings Cancer Center

When:  April 24th 2010 - Rain or Shine!

Where: Downtown Charleston (Area includes: upper/lower King St. /side streets/ Battery/market areas.) This event is on foot-No Motor Vehicles permitted.

How it works:

Teams: 4 to 6 players - $35 cash/person, (this is an adult only event).  Pre-registration begins April 1st (@ Article 5 Salon, located at 320 1/2 King St. above Phillips Shoes). There is limited availability and pre-registering is /suggested.  Also there are crucial tips enclosed in the registration packet which may give your team an advantage in earning bonus points before arriving to the event!!!

Event: Groups will sign in at Article 5 Salon (320 1/2 King St. above Phillips Shoes).  
Sign in is from 1-2p.m. groups can enjoy complimentary cocktails/drinks before the race will begin. The event will run from 2-4:30, finishing at Martin Gallery on Broad St. from 5-6p.m where teams can enjoy cocktails/drinks/hors d'oeuvres. Also the  winning team will be announced and receive their winnings!!!  There will be live music provided by Elise Testone and great raffles and silent auction items available.

Play: Teams will have a specified time limit to acquire all items on their checklist.  This includes visiting several participating area businesses, photographing particular things/places throughout Charleston and collecting various items. All teams will meet at the final location at the end of play. 

What you win: Each member of the winning team will receive a tote bag filled with donated items from local businesses/restaurants/boutiques. The combined total value of each bag is $600!!!!
